Our Plan for Fylde

Andrew Snowden is the new Member of Parliament for Fylde. He's a proud Lancastrian, husband to Caroline and Dad to Walter. Here's his plan to improve our area...

  • CHAMPION OUR FARMS AND LOCAL FARMERS

Farming is vital to residents and businesses in Fylde, and it’s crucial we grow as much of our food as possible. Andrew will always be a strong voice on the side of our farmers, speaking out against Labour’s Family Farm tax and the Morgan and Morecambe cabling corridor that will devastate our area.
  • PREVENT FLOODING AND POLLUTION

Our beaches, rivers and coastlines must be protected from sewage and pollution. Andrew is holding United Utilities to account to both keep our waterways clean, and to ensure the basics of flood management are done well across Fylde.
  • SUPPORT BUSINESSES AND LOCAL JOBS

It’s clear the Government just doesn’t get the need to protect local businesses. We need to support businesses across our area, from our small high street shops to our crucial large defence sector in Fylde.
  • TACKLE CRIME AND ANTISOCIAL BEHAVIOUR

Andrew reopened Kirkham police station’s front desk and invested hugely in rural crime. As our MP Andrew is using his expertise to work with police to stay on top of our local priorities, including fly-tipping, nuisance noise, and speeding on our road network.
  • IMPROVE OUR ROADS AND RAIL NETWORK

We’ve opened the new A585 bypass near Poulton, the new M55 link road to Lytham and the new Preston Western Distributor link road. But there is still work to be done, especially on our rail network and we will use his experience to fight for more investment.
  • PROTECT OUR AREA FROM OVERDEVELOPMENT

Labour’s excessive new housing targets in both Fylde and Wyre have the potential to fundamentally ruin our area, concreting green spaces and putting more traffic on the roads- all while cutting targets in big cities like Liverpool and London!
